The audience was convinced that Marcio Carreira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lia Saez was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Gaskon Mayor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Frances Jaraba made a huge save. FCSB CUENCA's Frances Jaraba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save FCSB CUENCA from getting a goal against them. Casildo Galdamez charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Chinto Lastras's late challenge caught a FCSB CUENCA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chinto Lastras helped the player get up and apologised. FCSB CUENCA made a substitution. Uriel Gimeno replaced Aitor Carceles. After a rather tough play, Los romperredes F.C's Chinto Lastras got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute, Emilio Echeto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Los romperredes F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FCSB CUENCA were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcio Carreira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
