The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Feios Porcos E Maus's Cristóvão Telinhos got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 4th minute of the match Ander Astudillo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antero Linhares skillfully saved the ball. 6 minutes into the game, one of Picanya FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 7 minutes, Feios Porcos E Maus's Joaquim Martins got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sebastiano Treviño. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Feios Porcos E Maus's goalkeeper Antero Linhares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Tauro Parra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Picanya FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tauro Parra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antero Linhares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Feios Porcos E Maus's Aristides Tristão got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 31st minute, Picanya FC's Xoan Maroto seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Xoan Maroto the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Picanya FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Xoan Maroto had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 32nd minute, Xoan Maroto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastiano Treviño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Picanya FC were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Feios Porcos E Maus's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Narcis Ipătescu took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Narcis Ipătescu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Antero Linhares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 43 minutes into the match, Feios Porcos E Maus's goal looked a bit too open when Jerico Ramos came free, but Antero Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastiano Treviño made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Eusébio Moura sent off a good shot on target. Ander Astudillo hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jerico Ramos to strike the kick off in the second half. Narcis Ipătescu hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Sebastiano Treviño took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Takis Parlapidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute Marcelo Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastiano Treviño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ander Astudillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Antero Linhares made a huge save. 63 minutes into the match, Takis Parlapidis notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Picanya FC's Sebastiano Treviño. Sebastiano Treviño was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sebastiano Treviño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristóvão Telinhos, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Sebastiano Treviño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Picanya FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Nunes came free, but Sebastiano Treviño reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Cristóvão Telinhos fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Feios Porcos E Maus's protests and gave Cristóvão Telinhos a yellow card for diving instead. Cristóvão Telinhos kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After 93 played minutes Feios Porcos E Maus got a freekick which was hit by Takis Parlapidis. Many of Picanya FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Picanya FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Feios Porcos E Maus were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
