When Niels-Jan Drok came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Springplank FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niels-Jan Drok couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdi Reis in the 17th minute of play forced Juventus FC's goalkeeper Anatoliy Strakhovskyi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Nazariy Bogdaniv dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jim Kamps, 1-0. In the 23rd minute Mykyta Komar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Kamps saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Juventus FC booed when Springplank FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathieu Schophuis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anatoliy Strakhovskyi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arkhyp Grebenyuk kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ferdi Reis to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Juventus FC's goalkeeper Anatoliy Strakhovskyi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abdelhak Nouri. Anatoliy Strakhovskyi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdi Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Resulhan Özdoruk's late challenge caught a Juventus FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With a little luck, Juventus FC's Anatoliy Strakhovskyi got control of the ball when Ferdi Reis tried to sneak it across the goal line.
