Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Royal Antwerp F.C.'s Thys Konings started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Mjöllnir got a freekick which was hit by Arrigo Möckli. In the 6th minute Royal Antwerp F.C. were awarded a corner. Henri-Xavier Imbereghs went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Royal Antwerp F.C.'s Henri-Xavier Imbereghs to fire away a dangerous shot which Marc Brand despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Wannes Tielemans scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marc Brand, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 13 minutes into the game, Thys Konings cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Marc Brand was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marc Brand came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Royal Antwerp F.C.'s Thys Konings. But to his dismay, Thys Konings quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Royal Antwerp F.C.'s Wannes Tielemans got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marc Brand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thys Konings in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Conrad Rauvoe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marc Brand. Mjöllnir's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Conrad Rauvoe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After some careless play in the Mjöllnir defense, Conrad Rauvoe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marc Brand. The Mjöllnir fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marc Brand should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrad Rauvoe in the 40th minute of play forced Mjöllnir's goalkeeper Marc Brand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Royal Antwerp F.C.'s Hector De Deygere got a free kick in the 41st minute. Mjöllnir's Marc Brand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrad Rauvoe in the 43rd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Didier Bonenfant to strike the kick off in the second half. Benjamin Borginions hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Ralf Scenna's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Diederick Van den Plas on his right side and into the goal. 53 minutes into the game it was 1-5. Thys Konings scored 1-6 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marc Brand, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 59th minute, Thys Konings ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marc Brand was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. The audience thought a goal was coming when Conrad Rauvoe got free with Marc Brand in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mjöllnir's Marc Brand proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Mjöllnir from getting a goal against them. 77 minutes into the match, Mjöllnir's goal looked a bit too open when Wannes Tielemans came free, but Marc Brand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mjöllnir booed when Royal Antwerp F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yves Justens didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Thys Konings left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Royal Antwerp F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-10. Quentin Schmidlin's late challenge caught a Royal Antwerp F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quentin Schmidlin helped the player get up and apologised. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thys Konings in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marc Brand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Conrad Rauvoe got free with Marc Brand in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thys Konings who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Marc Brand when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 96 minutes into the game, Didier Bonenfant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mjöllnir's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Royal Antwerp F.C. the free kick. After 96 played minutes Mjöllnir got a freekick which was hit by Didier Bonenfant. Royal Antwerp F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
