Olympique Fribourg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Téo Savion was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herve Muller in the 74th minute of play forced Manchester United F.C.'s goalkeeper Evrosi Popsavov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Olympique Fribourg fully deserved thier win.
