Dorel Cretu kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Constantin-Maximilian Vennegoor Of Hesselink fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Aritza having to interfere. In the 14th minute Berend Hermensen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Aritza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Berend Hermensen sped through FC Truseni's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anibal Aritza. Anibal Aritza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantin-Maximilian Vennegoor Of Hesselink in the 18th minute of the match. Revenge's Aleksandr Vasyutin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Revenge from getting a goal against them. Leonid Nazaria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Aleksandr Vasyutin made a huge save. Revenge's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Dorel Cretu scored to the left of an out of position Aleksandr Vasyutin, making the score, 1-1. In the 29th minute Dorel Cretu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleksandr Vasyutin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Revenge's goalkeeper Aleksandr Vasyutin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonid Nazaria. Dorel Cretu hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 43rdth minute of the game Constantin-Maximilian Vennegoor Of Hesselink who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Truseni's Anibal Aritza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodor Cornea to make the kick off. Anibal Aritza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kees Koole in the 51st minute of play. A collision led to FC Truseni getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Sandu Perju hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Constantin-Maximilian Vennegoor Of Hesselink managed to get in a good position for a shot. Revenge's supporters rose to their feet, but Constantin-Maximilian Vennegoor Of Hesselink was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anibal Aritza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aleksandr Vasyutin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorel Cretu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 58 played minutes Revenge got a freekick which was hit by Steven Palsma. The supporters of FC Truseni booed when Revenge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steven Palsma didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Teodor Cornea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute, Revenge's Constantin-Maximilian Vennegoor Of Hesselink ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Anibal Aritza. Anibal Aritza yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Kees Koole kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Kees Koole shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Aritza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodor Cornea in the 82nd minute of play forced Revenge's goalkeeper Aleksandr Vasyutin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kees Koole's late challenge caught a FC Truseni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kees Koole helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Truseni booed when Revenge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kees Koole didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kees Koole kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Dorin Dobã's late challenge caught a Revenge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dorin Dobã helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st minute, Dorin Dobã hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Teodor Cornea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Revenge supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Revenge would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
