STORM's Varlam Baburin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henk-Jan Linders in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berend Hermensen in the 16th minute of play forced STORM's goalkeeper Varlam Baburin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonid Alferov's late challenge caught a Revenge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonid Alferov helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for STORM! STORM:s Varlam Baburin showed great skill when he stopped Antoni Solecki:s penalty. Antoni Solecki took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Varlam Baburin. Varlam Baburin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Varlam Baburin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antoni Solecki in the 31st minute of the match. Varlam Baburin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berend Hermensen, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute, Oleg Rodimov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nikolay Kosunov kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Varlam Baburin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berend Hermensen in the 44th minute of the match. In the 46th minute of the match, Nikolay Kosunov tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aleksandr Vasyutin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Berend Hermensen in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Varlam Baburin saved STORM from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nikolay Kosunov was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Berend Hermensen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Varlam Baburin. That made the score 0-2 in the 52 minute of play. If Berend Hermensen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, STORM's Varlam Baburin got control of the ball when Antoni Solecki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Antoni Solecki scored 0-3 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Varlam Baburin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Varlam Baburin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antoni Solecki in the 65th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aleksandr Schukin during the 67th minute.
