The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Charles De Meur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olaf Knopper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Olaf Knopper's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Charles De Meur was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Charles De Meur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olaf Knopper in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute Arnout Arends shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles De Meur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Arnout Arends's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Charles De Meur was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rondo's goalkeeper Orestis Lazarou, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Charles De Meur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olaf Knopper could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Charles De Meur made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Rondo's Charles De Meur threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Olaf Knopper, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The Rondo fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Rondo's Olaf Knopper looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 68th match minute, Berkshire Harthaway FC. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Árpád Sóti to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olaf Knopper in the 69th minute of play forced Berkshire Harthaway FC.'s goalkeeper Charles De Meur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Berkshire Harthaway FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Olaf Knopper came free, but Charles De Meur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Miklós Szalay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Rondo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rondo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
