Gong Ying Zheng came out of the goal and Shi Li Sha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, S.C. Potentia's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Sharkin came free, but Pascal Vledder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Bernardo Sharkin made a precise shot to the right of Pascal Vledder. S.C. Potentia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Pascal Vledder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gusztáv Bács, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Pascal Vledder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Sharkin in the 20th minute of play. With a little luck, VC zoetwater's Gong Ying Zheng got control of the ball when Adam Messi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pascal Vledder came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by VC zoetwater's İbrahim Efe Akarsu. But to his dismay, İbrahim Efe Akarsu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Pascal Vledder didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardo Sharkin went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Pascal Vledder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gusztáv Bács in the 32nd minute of the match. After 34 played minutes S.C. Potentia got a freekick which was hit by Adam Messi. VC zoetwater's Gong Ying Zheng proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save VC zoetwater from getting a goal against them. When İbrahim Efe Akarsu came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the VC zoetwater fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that İbrahim Efe Akarsu couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute, Erik Rensenbrink hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute of the match VC zoetwater got a corner. S.C. Potentia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gusztáv Bács ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led VC zoetwater's Gusztáv Bács to fire away a dangerous shot which Pascal Vledder despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.
After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Bernardo Sharkin managed to get in a good position for a shot. VC zoetwater's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Sharkin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pascal Vledder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 59 played minutes VC zoetwater got a freekick which was hit by Dariusz Zembrzuski. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kristján Kipper in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gong Ying Zheng prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pascal Vledder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Sharkin in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 played minutes S.C. Potentia got a freekick which was hit by Roger Ijspol. 63 minutes into the match, S.C. Potentia's goalkeeper Pascal Vledder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by İbrahim Efe Akarsu. Gong Ying Zheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shi Li Sha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute Shi Li Sha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gong Ying Zheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, S.C. Potentia's Pascal Vledder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabien Pardons in the 89th minute of play. VC zoetwater's Robert Wells pulled a muscle in his leg after 95 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Shi Li Sha's late challenge caught a VC zoetwater's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Shi Li Sha helped the player get up and apologised. VC zoetwater made a substitution. Ricky Meijers replaced Robert Wells. A collision led to S.C. Potentia getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Shi Li Sha hit a great ball. VC zoetwater's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
