Charl Delcroix spun around in front of the goal 19 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of FFC Merainies 03's goal. Niki Van Hoeyvelt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael van Zeggeren in the 22nd minute of play. Charl Delcroix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gregor Compaan having to make a save. 25 minutes into the match, Rafael van Zeggeren dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Niki Van Hoeyvelt, 2-0. Gregor Compaan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolaas Van Hamme in the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Arnout Lembeck dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Niki Van Hoeyvelt, 3-0. FFC Merainies 03's Gregor Compaan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bram Van Wontergem in the 34th minute of play. With his leg Niki Van Hoeyvelt managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when FFC Merainies 03's Rafael van Zeggeren fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 37 minutes into the game, Gert Korevaar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Niki Van Hoeyvelt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, KFC Paal-Tervant's Niki Van Hoeyvelt got control of the ball when Rafael van Zeggeren tried to sneak it across the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, KFC Paal-Tervant's goalkeeper Niki Van Hoeyvelt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herbert Springelkamp. With a little luck, KFC Paal-Tervant's Niki Van Hoeyvelt got control of the ball when Arnout Lembeck tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th minute, Gert Korevaar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niki Van Hoeyvelt was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Charl Delcroix was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the KFC Paal-Tervant defense, Arnout Lembeck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niki Van Hoeyvelt. The KFC Paal-Tervant fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niki Van Hoeyvelt should have stopped the shot. 54 minutes into the match, KFC Paal-Tervant's Bram Van Wontergem sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gregor Compaan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to FFC Merainies 03 getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Niek Bemmel hit a great ball. Michaelo Koole kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Springelkamp in the 65th minute of play forced KFC Paal-Tervant's goalkeeper Niki Van Hoeyvelt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KFC Paal-Tervant's Niki Van Hoeyvelt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Springelkamp in the 66th minute of play. Niki Van Hoeyvelt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael van Zeggeren, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The supporters of KFC Paal-Tervant booed when FFC Merainies 03 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Youri Bemmel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Herbert Springelkamp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niki Van Hoeyvelt was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. KFC Paal-Tervant's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafael van Zeggeren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. After a rather tough play, KFC Paal-Tervant's Nicolaas Van Hamme got a free kick in the 87th minute. Rafael van Zeggeren hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolaas Van Hamme in the 92nd minute of play forced FFC Merainies 03's goalkeeper Gregor Compaan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gregor Compaan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bram Van Wontergem in the 95th minute of the match. FFC Merainies 03's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
