FV Wienerwald's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Cirilo Izotz scored to the left of an out of position Norman-Alexander Wellmann, making the score, 1-0. Serdar Gulson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Norman-Alexander Wellmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Cirilo Izotz fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Norman-Alexander Wellmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Izotz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the game, one of FV Wienerwald:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Norman-Alexander Wellmann had in the 22ndth minute some difficulties stopping Tim Tudor's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 24th minute, Cirilo Izotz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to FC Lëtzebuerg getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Erubiel Erasto hit a great ball. FV Wienerwald's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Serdar Gulson scored to the left of an out of position Norman-Alexander Wellmann, making the score, 2-0. In the 35th match minute, FV Wienerwald was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Saenger to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Serdar Gulson managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lëtzebuerg's supporters rose to their feet, but Serdar Gulson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norman-Alexander Wellmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Steffen Konsel kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Cirilo Izotz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norman-Alexander Wellmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, FC Lëtzebuerg's Cirilo Izotz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Norman-Alexander Wellmann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Philipp Haberer during the 41st minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harald Delb made a kick off. Norman-Alexander Wellmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serdar Gulson in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serdar Gulson in the 54th minute of play forced FV Wienerwald's goalkeeper Norman-Alexander Wellmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norman-Alexander Wellmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Izotz in the 56th minute of play. If Qiu Xi Wen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Norman-Alexander Wellmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jan-André Dospel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Lëtzebuerg walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
