Chicão Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wiliam Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Academia B.F.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wiliam Carioca in the 3rd minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Gato Preto FC's goalie and right to Lauro Quirino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Gato Preto FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Gato Preto FC's Chicão Peixoto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Gato Preto FC from getting a goal against them. 9 minutes into the match, Primo Sans had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chicão Peixoto. Gato Preto FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Primo Sans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Academia B.F.'s Primo Sans slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Chicão Peixoto. That made the score 3-0 after 14 minutes of play. Academia B.F.'s Wiliam Carioca got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 18th minute of the game Anderson Carneiro made a throw-in which Cipriano Tavares played forward. In the 21st minute, Primo Sans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anderson Carneiro made in the 22nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cipriano Tavares however managed to control. Wiliam Carioca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute, Primo Sans reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Chicão Peixoto. The goal made the score 6-0. In the 42nd play minute Primo Sans came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Chicão Peixoto. 7-0. Primo Sans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Chicão Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Primo Sans struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Chicão Peixoto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia B.F.. Robinho de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. If Primo Sans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 59thth minute of the game Bruno Henrique who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia B.F.'s Vicente Catarinense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 61st minute, Primo Sans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Primo Sans might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chicão Peixoto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Primo Sans ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Academia B.F. booed when Gato Preto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Academia B.F.'s Wiliam Carioca couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 64th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gato Preto FC. Chicão Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Primo Sans in the 70th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Primo Sans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academia B.F.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Primo Sans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chicão Peixoto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Gato Preto FC's zone, Michel Totti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chicão Peixoto came out of the goal and Michel Totti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 83 minutes of play, Academia B.F.'s João Francisco Fontes made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chicão Peixoto was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 89th minute Michel Totti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chicão Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chicão Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Totti, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Michel Totti scored 11-0 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chicão Peixoto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
