Ekzema F.V.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave São José City - FSCMZ the free kick. 13 minutes into the match, Ekzema F.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Roger Costa came free, but Wellington Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Ekzema F.V.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of São José City - FSCMZ:s goal. 17 minutes into the match, Murilo Paes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hélder Severo. São José City - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Murilo Paes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Hélder Severo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuca Tróia in the 20th minute of play. When Nilson Breckenfeld fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored São José City - FSCMZ's protests and gave Nilson Breckenfeld a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes São José City - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Nilson Breckenfeld. Hélder Severo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Fabinho Sarmento. In the 24th minute, Reginaldo Bueno made a precise shot to the right of Wellington Baiano. Ekzema F.V.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The supporters of São José City - FSCMZ booed when Ekzema F.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duda Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. São José City - FSCMZ's Hélder Severo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save São José City - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Roger Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. São José City - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Roger Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélder Severo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Cordeiro in the 86th minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Ekzema F.V.'s goalkeeper Wellington Baiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roger Costa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelsinho Cunha in the 95th minute of play forced Ekzema F.V.'s goalkeeper Wellington Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ekzema F.V. fans cheered their team off the field, for while São José City - FSCMZ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
