The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Danilo Guerra was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 3 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrick Ramos in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claes Feuereisen saved AITEC from getting behind. 11 minutes into the game, Fiori Dantas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AITEC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Airborne FC the free kick. In the 11th minute, Fiori Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claes Feuereisen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patrick Ramos went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Ramos in the 18th minute of play forced AITEC's goalkeeper Claes Feuereisen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19thth minute of the game Patrick Ramos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AITEC's Claes Feuereisen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Patrick Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Feuereisen having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrick Ramos in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claes Feuereisen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 25 minutes into the match, Patrick Ramos notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of AITEC's Claes Feuereisen. Claes Feuereisen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to AITEC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Fiori Dantas hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hélio Terra in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claes Feuereisen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute, Patrick Ramos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claes Feuereisen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Claes Feuereisen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patrick Ramos went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Diamantino de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raí Lara in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, AITEC's Fiori Dantas got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute of the match Carlos Alberto Arruda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claes Feuereisen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half Airborne FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patrick Ramos was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by AITEC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carlos Alberto Arruda was slow to take the kick. During this time Airborne FC's players had a chance to rest. Claes Feuereisen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Augusto Vides hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrick Ramos in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claes Feuereisen saved AITEC from getting behind. Airborne FC were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after AITEC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carlos Alberto Arruda took the corner. After taking down the ball on Airborne FC's corner Carlos Alberto Arruda fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Claes Feuereisen quite easily take care of the ball. Claes Feuereisen made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Patrick Ramos sent off a good shot on target. In the 76th match minute, AITEC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raí Lara to maneuver through the defense. Patrick Ramos scored 0-6 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claes Feuereisen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Airborne FC's Patrick Ramos in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AITEC's goalie prevented a goal. Augusto Vides's late challenge caught a Airborne FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augusto Vides helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 87 minutes, Patrick Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Airborne FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrick Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frederico Tinoco's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Claes Feuereisen firmly grabbed it by the left post. Claes Feuereisen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Ramos in the 89th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in AITEC's zone, Patrick Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claes Feuereisen came out of the goal and Patrick Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
