Spectators: 145 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) Reynaldo Paulista made the kick off and thus started the match. Jeferson Toledo in the 4thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Vinícius Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dé Andrade in the 15th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Atlético Mineiro's Acácio Tande got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute of the match João Pedro Diniz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vinícius Leite showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Atlético Mineiro booed when SHINERAY FC - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelson Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Osvaldinho Moreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 24 minutes, Isaltino Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Mineiro and the SHINERAY FC - DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vinícius Leite made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeferson Toledo in the 26th minute. After having played for 28 minutes, Jeferson Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SHINERAY FC - DMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeferson Toledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adriano do Nascimento hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dé Andrade in the 31st minute of play forced Atlético Mineiro's goalkeeper Vinícius Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeferson Toledo was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Atlético Mineiro defense, Jeferson Toledo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vinícius Leite. The Atlético Mineiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vinícius Leite should have stopped the shot. 3-0 became the score in the 55th minute when Dé Andrade elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Mineiro's zone, Osvaldinho Moreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vinícius Leite came out of the goal and Osvaldinho Moreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walmyr Guimarães charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Walmyr Guimarães the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Atlético Mineiro getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Walmyr Guimarães hit a great ball. The supporters of SHINERAY FC - DMZ booed when Atlético Mineiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vânderson Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Jeferson Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot. SHINERAY FC - DMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeferson Toledo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinícius Leite breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SHINERAY FC - DMZ's Gualter Brasil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save SHINERAY FC - DMZ from getting a goal against them. 83 minutes into the game, Zé Paulo Freire was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Mineiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SHINERAY FC - DMZ the free kick. Reynaldo Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
