In the 5th minute, Benedito Sampaio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 8 played minutes Caatiba MZC got a freekick which was hit by Allan Penha. Reinaldo Damião showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrianinho Ortiz in the 17th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Benedito Sampaio sped through Caatiba MZC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rodolfo Quirino. Diego Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Rodolfo Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodolfo Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedito Sampaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 33rd minute Caatiba MZC were awarded a corner. Dinei Moraes went to the cornerflag to take it. Dinei Moraes made a great header on Caatiba MZC's corner, it was just that Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s Reinaldo Damião managed to reach the ball for a save. Allan Penha charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Allan Penha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Benedito Sampaio might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodolfo Quirino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benedito Sampaio ran back to his position shaking his head. 72 minutes into the match, Diego Velloso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodolfo Quirino. Caatiba MZC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Velloso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Rodolfo Quirino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benedito Sampaio went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. After 80 minutes, Benedito Sampaio made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Caatiba MZC's Rodolfo Quirino tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Rodolfo Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedito Sampaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th match minute, Caatiba MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Penha to maneuver through the defense.
