After a rather tough play, Chester Bennington's Jeremias Castro got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute, Laerte da Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juvenal Valladares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedito Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adrianinho Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 21 minutes, Mathias das Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caatiba MZC and the Chester Bennington players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st minute there was a penalty for Chester Bennington. Nestor Vinhas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rodolfo Quirino. 0-1. Rodolfo Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Benedito Domingues kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juvenal Valladares. That made the score 1-1 in the 29 minute of play. Nestor Vinhas struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Rodolfo Quirino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chester Bennington. Juvenal Valladares was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Adrianinho Ortiz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adrianinho Ortiz really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. José Maria Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Quirino having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Rodolfo Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Garcia in the 51st minute of play. Patrick Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enrique Mazza hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 57 minutes in the game, José Maria Couto fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rodolfo Quirino having to interfere. In the 61st match minute, Chester Bennington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Maria Couto to maneuver through the defense. José Maria Couto hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The supporters of Caatiba MZC booed when Chester Bennington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusébio Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Valladares having to interfere. Chester Bennington's Juvenal Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedito Domingues in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Chester Bennington's Walmir Mangueira got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 84 played minutes Caatiba MZC got a freekick which was hit by Benedito Domingues. Rodolfo Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Caatiba MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Garcia came free, but Rodolfo Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute Patrick Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92 minutes, Nestor Vinhas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chester Bennington and the Caatiba MZC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Nestor Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nestor Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Caatiba MZC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chester Bennington had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
