The supporters of MDS Soccer Club booed when Maverick Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredinho Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Sherlock Holmes sped through MDS Soccer Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zheng Di Xi. Koko Merdan kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Sherlock Holmes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zheng Di Xi was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 25th minute Sherlock Holmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zheng Di Xi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sherlock Holmes scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zheng Di Xi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vágner Proença hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the game, Fabian Adriaanse was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maverick Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MDS Soccer Club the free kick. Michel Montenegro had in the 30thth minute some difficulties stopping Koko Merdan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 31st match minute, Maverick Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vágner Proença to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Sherlock Holmes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zheng Di Xi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 37 minutes into the match, Maverick Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Lukasz Gmoch came free, but Michel Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MDS Soccer Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Koko Merdan in the 38th minute. When Maverick Futebol Clube's Sherlock Holmes in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MDS Soccer Club's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Lukasz Gmoch managed to get in a good position for a shot. MDS Soccer Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Lukasz Gmoch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michel Montenegro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 46 played minutes Maverick Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Sherlock Holmes. After the first half Maverick Futebol Clube were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sherlock Holmes made a kick off. Raimundo Abraão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Zheng Di Xi made a huge save. Michel Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleiton Paraíba in the 54th minute of play. Rafael Marques hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute Sherlock Holmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zheng Di Xi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Sherlock Holmes sped through MDS Soccer Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zheng Di Xi. When MDS Soccer Club's Lukasz Gmoch in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The corner ended in Koko Merdan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Maverick Futebol Clube's Michel Montenegro did a great save. After a rather tough play, MDS Soccer Club's Lukasz Gmoch got a free kick in the 73rd minute. With a little luck, MDS Soccer Club's Zheng Di Xi got control of the ball when Alfredinho Massa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 84th minute, Lukasz Gmoch ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Michel Montenegro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erivaldo Severo in the 93rd minute of play forced Maverick Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Michel Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michel Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cleiton Paraíba, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Maverick Futebol Clube supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Maverick Futebol Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
