The Caneleiros FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Dias should have stopped the shot. After having played for 19 minutes, Edmílson Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caneleiros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmílson Maciel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Artur do Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Papunhas EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Artur do Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcus Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fernandão Meirelles charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernandão Meirelles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Papunhas EC booed when Caneleiros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvinho Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute of the match Frédson Rosa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcus Dias skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Caneleiros FC booed when Papunhas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim da Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
