Spectators: 154 (Terracing: 116, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Valdomiro Paraibano kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the game, Raimundo Camargo lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Valdir Pérez. After a rather tough play, Capibaribe Stars's Víktor Terra got a free kick in the 5th minute. Agnaldo Tinoco charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agnaldo Tinoco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 8 played minutes União Verde FC got a freekick which was hit by Agnaldo Tinoco. União Verde FC's Valdir Pérez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save União Verde FC from getting a goal against them. The Capibaribe Stars fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Capibaribe Stars's Raimundo Camargo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Raimundo Camargo took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdir Pérez. Valdir Pérez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. A collision led to Capibaribe Stars getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Váldson de Sena hit a great ball. Pedro Luiz Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Raimundo Camargo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Valdir Pérez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 28 minutes into the match, Raimundo Camargo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdir Pérez. União Verde FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raimundo Camargo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. 34 minutes into the match, Capibaribe Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Lara came free, but Marcos Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raimundo Camargo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Valdir Pérez made a huge save. Raimundo Camargo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Valdir Pérez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45thth minute of the game Raimundo Camargo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but União Verde FC's Valdir Pérez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Valdir Pérez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Camargo in the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Capibaribe Stars made a substitution. Breno Esteves replaced Danilo Teixeira. In the 55th minute, Raimundo Camargo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capibaribe Stars fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. The supporters of Capibaribe Stars booed when União Verde FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the União Verde FC defense, Raimundo Camargo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdir Pérez. The União Verde FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdir Pérez should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Botelho in the 64th minute of play forced União Verde FC's goalkeeper Valdir Pérez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raimundo Camargo in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valdir Pérez saved União Verde FC from getting behind. In the 68th minute Raimundo Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdir Pérez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 76 minutes of play, Capibaribe Stars's Raimundo Camargo made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdir Pérez was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 84th minute, Kaká Ferreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gil Paiva hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Raimundo Camargo might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valdir Pérez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raimundo Camargo ran back to his position shaking his head. Valdir Pérez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Botelho's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Raimundo Camargo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capibaribe Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Camargo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdir Pérez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raimundo Camargo in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valdir Pérez saved União Verde FC from getting behind. Raimundo Camargo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Valdir Pérez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. União Verde FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
