Umberto do Valle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Jorge Campos made a huge save. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Landulfos FC's goalkeeper Silas Britto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Landulfos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hermínio Cavalcante was slow to take the kick. During this time Macaco F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Hermínio Cavalcante almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Landulfos FC's Silas Britto did a great save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ingars Miders in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silas Britto saved Landulfos FC from getting behind. Macaco F.C.'s Jorge Campos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Macaco F.C. from getting a goal against them. Silas Britto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingars Miders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingars Miders in the 35th minute of play forced Landulfos FC's goalkeeper Silas Britto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37 minutes Landulfos FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hermínio Cavalcante who took care of the corner kick. Macaco F.C.'s Hermínio Cavalcante was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Silas Britto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Macaco F.C.'s Jorge Campos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adhemar de Alcântara in the 38th minute of play. Silas Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingars Miders in the 47th minute of play. Silas Britto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingars Miders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Umberto do Valle to strike the kick off in the second half. Jorge Campos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbson Negri in the 53rd minute of play. Jorge Campos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Umberto do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Macaco F.C.'s zone, Adhemar de Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Campos came out of the goal and Adhemar de Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Umberto do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Landulfos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Umberto do Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Campos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fellipe Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Luisinho Lira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Silas Britto. Landulfos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Macaco F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Macaco F.C.'s Ingars Miders looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With his leg Silas Britto managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Macaco F.C.'s Ingars Miders fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jorge Campos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Umberto do Valle went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Landulfos FC defense, Ioan Mavrodin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silas Britto. The Landulfos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silas Britto should have stopped the shot. Silas Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingars Miders in the 88th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Ingars Miders managed to get in a good position for a shot. Macaco F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ingars Miders was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silas Britto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd minute, Umberto do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute Umberto do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Campos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Macaco F.C. players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
