Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) FC St. Pauli's Jacinto Munhoz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Basílio Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laerte Coutinho in the 4th minute of the match. Basílio Moura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizão Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luizão Peixoto in the 9th minute of play forced FC St. Pauli's goalkeeper Basílio Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karaboudjan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC St. Pauli the free kick. After 13 played minutes Karaboudjan got a freekick which was hit by Almir da Fonseca. Jefferson do Vale made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Jacinto Munhoz sent off a good shot on target. FC St. Pauli's Basílio Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laerte Coutinho in the 19th minute of play. Luizão Peixoto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the FC St. Pauli defense, Luizão Peixoto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Basílio Moura. The FC St. Pauli fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Basílio Moura should have stopped the shot. Basílio Moura came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Karaboudjan's Luizão Peixoto. But to his dismay, Luizão Peixoto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Basílio Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laerte Coutinho in the 37th minute of the match. Basílio Moura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Laerte Coutinho went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luizão Peixoto made a kick off. After a rather tough play, FC St. Pauli's Pedro Luiz Trevisan got a free kick in the 51st minute. Laerte Coutinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Basílio Moura made a huge save. FC St. Pauli's Basílio Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laerte Coutinho in the 63rd minute of play. Basílio Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizão Peixoto in the 66th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luizão Peixoto got free with Basílio Moura in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to FC St. Pauli getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Oséias Sergipano hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, Luizão Peixoto made a precise shot to the right of Basílio Moura. FC St. Pauli's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. In the 80th play minute Luizão Peixoto came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Basílio Moura. 0-6. In the 83rd minute, Karaboudjan's Wilton de Amaral ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Basílio Moura. Basílio Moura yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. FC St. Pauli's Oséias Sergipano got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Evaristo Tolino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, FC St. Pauli's Matheus Barreto got a free kick in the 95th minute.
