Jefferson do Vale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 12th minute, Evaristo Tolino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Mukifus FSCMZ getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. João Paulo Neiva hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Karaboudjan's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Sabóia came free, but Jefferson do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luizão Peixoto in the 20th minute of play forced Mukifus FSCMZ's goalkeeper Caco Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Kléberson Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilton de Amaral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Caco Rocha made a huge save. In the 30th minute of the match, Wilton de Amaral got a very nice opportunity to score, but Caco Rocha was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Caco Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizão Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luizão Peixoto succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 37th playminute. Antony Donnelly kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After some careless play in the Karaboudjan defense, Waldemar Sabóia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jefferson do Vale. The Karaboudjan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jefferson do Vale should have stopped the shot. 71 minutes into the game, Vladimir Veloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mukifus FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karaboudjan the free kick. The supporters of Karaboudjan booed when Mukifus FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimir Veloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caco Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizão Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caco Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antony Donnelly in the 74th minute of play. Luizão Peixoto struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Caco Rocha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karaboudjan. In the 79th minute, Laerte Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the match, Mukifus FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Wilton de Amaral came free, but Caco Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Wilton de Amaral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Caco Rocha was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. In the 85th play minute Waldemar Sabóia came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jefferson do Vale. 2-4. Caco Rocha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antony Donnelly went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score. In the 94th minute Antony Donnelly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caco Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karaboudjan's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luizão Peixoto in the 96th minute. Although Karaboudjan had been in control for most of the match, Mukifus FSCMZ still came away with the win.
