Carlos Eduardo Donatello dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Claudinho Toscano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the game, Claudinho Toscano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Carlos Eduardo Donatello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carlos Eduardo Donatello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jael Jardel in the 15th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Grêmio 20 Julho's Téo Pires nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Eduardo Donatello made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Carlos Eduardo Donatello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jael Jardel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Federico Valverde fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Reko-Recko 03™'s protests and gave Federico Valverde a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Reko-Recko 03™'s Federico Valverde got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute Claudinho Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Eduardo Donatello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Grêmio 20 Julho's Witomir Lewandowski in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Grêmio 20 Julho's Ma Xi Kang was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carlos Eduardo Donatello in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 35th minute Téo Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Eduardo Donatello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Reko-Recko 03™'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ma Xi Kang was slow to take the kick. During this time Grêmio 20 Julho's players had a chance to rest. Grêmio 20 Julho's Ma Xi Kang was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carlos Eduardo Donatello in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Reko-Recko 03™'s Carlos Eduardo Donatello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witomir Lewandowski in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Téo Pires cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Carlos Eduardo Donatello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jael Jardel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Eduardo Donatello having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jarbas Pombal to make the kick off. Alessandro Moraes's late challenge caught a Grêmio 20 Julho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alessandro Moraes helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Reko-Recko 03™ getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Alessandro Moraes hit a great ball. Claudinho Toscano was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The supporters of Reko-Recko 03™ booed when Grêmio 20 Julho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Téo Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Eduardo Donatello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudinho Toscano in the 95th minute.
