Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Galo do Cerrado's Cássio Matorin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alfredinho Andrade made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horácio Damião in the 2nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Fernandes got free with Alfredinho Andrade in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Galo do Cerrado's Alfredinho Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Damião in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Galo do Cerrado's Vânderson Koehler got a free kick in the 8th minute. 9 minutes into the game, Alfredo Fernandes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Alfredinho Andrade was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 13 minutes into the match, Galo do Cerrado's goalkeeper Alfredinho Andrade had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horácio Damião. Percival Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After having played for 18 minutes, Luciano Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. REAL VASCO RIO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luciano Leão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th minute Luciano Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredinho Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin Branco charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benjamin Branco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Galo do Cerrado getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Benjamin Branco hit a great ball. Benjamin Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of REAL VASCO RIO booed when Galo do Cerrado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Paulo Marinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredinho Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrão Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Luciano Leão reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alfredinho Andrade. The goal made the score 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedrão Souza made a kick off. Alfredinho Andrade came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by REAL VASCO RIO's Natã Nogueira. But to his dismay, Natã Nogueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Alfredinho Andrade didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfredo Fernandes went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Percival Prestes made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Cássio Matorin sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Mendes in the 74th minute of play forced REAL VASCO RIO's goalkeeper Percival Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredinho Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to REAL VASCO RIO getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Luciano Leão hit a great ball. After 81 minutes of play, REAL VASCO RIO's Horácio Damião made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredinho Andrade was left in no man's land by his defense there! 86 minutes into the game, REAL VASCO RIO's Luciano Leão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfredinho Andrade made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. After 90 played minutes Galo do Cerrado got a freekick which was hit by Inácio França. In the 91st minute of the match José Pedro Simão sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfredinho Andrade skillfully saved the ball. When the referee ended the match the REAL VASCO RIO players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
