After a defensive mix-up in Aracatiara EC's zone, Chivu Quintana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narciso Ignatius came out of the goal and Chivu Quintana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Aracatiara EC's Narciso Ignatius got control of the ball when Chivu Quintana tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Chivu Quintana came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Remedios SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chivu Quintana couldn't finish the play. In the 97th match minute, Remedios SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Augusto Sena to maneuver through the defense.
