Despite this Edmílson Britto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Rafa Borre fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trindade Atlético Club's protests and gave Rafa Borre a yellow card for diving instead. Rafa Borre kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in RÖK's zone, Cristiano Mota stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yan Pirani came out of the goal and Cristiano Mota tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmílson Britto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamílton Proença in the 25th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júlio Varela got free with Edmílson Britto in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the game, Trindade Atlético Club's Cristiano Ronaldinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yan Pirani made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 43 played minutes, Trindade Atlético Club's Igor Maranhense shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Yan Pirani came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Trindade Atlético Club reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cesinha Marquez got free with Edmílson Britto in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
