The crowd rose to their feet as Dadá da Costa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Romeu Donato. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. In the 13th minute, Afonsinho Paiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romeu Donato was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Família Ressaca MZ's Romeu Donato proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Família Ressaca MZ from getting a goal against them. Família Ressaca MZ's Romeu Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dadá da Costa in the 26th minute of play. Romeu Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aílton de Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Wanderson Cerezo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute, Luiz Fábio Lopez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romeu Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aílton de Queirós in the 33rd minute of play. When Fernando Ceresso fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Premier FC's protests and gave Fernando Ceresso a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Premier FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Fernando Ceresso hit a great ball. Dadá da Costa took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romeu Donato. Romeu Donato dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fábio Lopez in the 40th minute of play forced Premier FC's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Bezerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Família Ressaca MZ were awarded a corner. João Augusto Trancoso went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Guilherme Brito almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Premier FC's Zé Paulo Bezerra did a great save. A collision led to Premier FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Rubens Maia hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Luiz Fábio Lopez sped through Premier FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zé Paulo Bezerra. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Fábio Lopez was the one to do the kick off. A throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game was made by Fernando Ceresso with Rubens Maia as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Zé Paulo Bezerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anísio Sampaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Romeu Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aílton de Queirós in the 57th minute of the match. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zé Paulo Bezerra, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 74th minute Família Ressaca MZ were awarded a corner. João Augusto Trancoso went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Família Ressaca MZ's corner João Augusto Trancoso fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zé Paulo Bezerra quite easily take care of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dadá da Costa during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zé Paulo Bezerra showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
