The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Juvenal Jacinto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edson Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Juvenal Jacinto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlinhos Galvão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tostão Cardoso hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The Edson Futebol Clube fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Edson Futebol Clube's Víktor Guerra looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Juvenal Jacinto struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Carlinhos Galvão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Edson Futebol Clube. Joga Redondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlinhos Galvão having to interfere. Carlinhos Galvão came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Edson Futebol Clube's Juvenal Jacinto. But to his dismay, Juvenal Jacinto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 37 minutes into the match, Joga Redondo notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of União Agrícola Barbarense's Carlinhos Galvão. Carlinhos Galvão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Joga Redondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. When Víktor Guerra came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Edson Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Víktor Guerra couldn't finish the play.
