The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Febre Amarela got a freekick which was hit by Hélio Senna. Claudinei Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudinei Almeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 4 played minutes Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Almeida. Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ's Cristiano Albuquerque played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Lago in the 7th minute of play. In the 10th match minute, Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre de Lara to maneuver through the defense. If Vito Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amauri Barbosa hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the game, Amauri Barbosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Febre Amarela the free kick. In the 16th match minute, Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amauri Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. Ademar Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ's Alexandre de Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amauri Barbosa in the 27th minute of play forced Febre Amarela's goalkeeper Hélio Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Hélio Senna fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Febre Amarela's protests and gave Hélio Senna a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th minute, one of Febre Amarela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Febre Amarela. The score was 1-0 after a penalty in the 31st minute, where Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ:s Amauri Barbosa tricked Febre Amarela:s Hélio Sarmento with a difficult ball by the left post. The referee felt a red card was in order, 34 minutes into the game, when Edinho Leão put in a rough tackle. 33 minutes into the game, one of Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 41st match minute, Febre Amarela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christiano Cosme to maneuver through the defense. Cristiano Albuquerque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Melo in the 44th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Washington Lago stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 52 in the game by Washington Lago from a close distance when the talented Cristiano Albuquerque managed to make a qualified save. Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ's players were relieved. A collision led to Febre Amarela getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Christiano Cosme hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Washington Lago sped through Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristiano Albuquerque. Hélio Senna hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Washington Lago got free with Cristiano Albuquerque in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristiano Albuquerque made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adil Vavasseur in the 77th minute. Ademar Abraão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Washington Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
