In the 8th minute, Sandro Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vitório Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráuzio Paraíba in the 11th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geovanni Hoffmann in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leopoldo Cerezo saved 100 Chance from getting behind. In the 16th minute, Luís Fábio Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Carlos Tasso in the 17th minute of play forced 100 Chance's goalkeeper Leopoldo Cerezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vitório Martins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Vitório Martins didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 21st minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Wellington Braga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Vitório Martins made a huge save. Geovanni Hoffmann took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leopoldo Cerezo. Leopoldo Cerezo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 38 minutes into the match, Antônio Carlos Tasso notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of 100 Chance's Leopoldo Cerezo. Leopoldo Cerezo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 44th minute, Antônio Carlos Tasso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leopoldo Cerezo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. In the 46th minute, Fernandinho Rezende had to leave the field with a concussion. 47 minutes into the game, Wellington Braga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 100 Chance's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 20 DE SETEMBRO the free kick. Wellington Braga hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Antônio Carlos Tasso scored 2-4 in the 49th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leopoldo Cerezo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roberto Gerber made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Maciel in the 55th minute of play forced 20 DE SETEMBRO's goalkeeper Vitório Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 57 played minutes 100 Chance got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Nogueira. Geovanni Hoffmann struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Leopoldo Cerezo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 20 DE SETEMBRO. Jorge Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Cerezo having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Fabiano Dias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geovanni Hoffmann in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leopoldo Cerezo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabiano Dias's late challenge caught a 100 Chance's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabiano Dias helped the player get up and apologised. Leopoldo Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Gröhe, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wellington Braga in the 76th minute of play forced 20 DE SETEMBRO's goalkeeper Vitório Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 DE SETEMBRO's Vitório Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Gerber in the 82nd minute of play. 100 Chance's Leopoldo Cerezo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save 100 Chance from getting a goal against them. Vitório Martins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitório Martins having to interfere. If Antônio Carlos Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched 20 DE SETEMBRO eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
