After some careless play in the Mexilhão F. C. defense, Davi Alexandridis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelinho Matorin. The Mexilhão F. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelinho Matorin should have stopped the shot. Felippe Mineiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Weverton Pras. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felippe Mineiro ran back to his position shaking his head. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 8-0 at half-time.
