The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Gonçalo Vargas got a free kick in the 6th minute. Otto Gol's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Weverton Pras firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 13 minutes, Valdir Magalhães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the OTTO FC - FSCMZ and the Leon Sport Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th minute, Valdir Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dagoberto Severo's late challenge caught a OTTO FC - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dagoberto Severo helped the player get up and apologised. After some careless play in the OTTO FC - FSCMZ defense, Davi Alexandridis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cássio Peixoto. The OTTO FC - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cássio Peixoto should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Leon Sport Club's zone, Otto Gol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Weverton Pras came out of the goal and Otto Gol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The OTTO FC - FSCMZ fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Otto Gol looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Soni Féron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Otto Gol was the one to do the kick off. Dagoberto Severo hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Weverton Pras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jefferson Otto in the 52nd minute of the match. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Otto Gol in the 53rd minute. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Otto Gol was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Weverton Pras in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Cássio Peixoto got control of the ball when Raí Botelho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Leon Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson Otto came free, but Weverton Pras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Otto Gol got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto Gol in the 64th minute of play forced Leon Sport Club's goalkeeper Weverton Pras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of OTTO FC - FSCMZ booed when Leon Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beto Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Leon Sport Club's Raí Botelho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cássio Peixoto. That made the score 1-2 after 68 minutes of play. The supporters of Leon Sport Club booed when OTTO FC - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto Gol didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute, Ian Queirós reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cássio Peixoto. The goal made the score 1-3. In the 79th minute, Valdir Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raí Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Cássio Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beto Massa kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. A collision led to OTTO FC - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Ricardinho Mesquita hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Leon Sport Club eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
