After a rather tough play, Montesclarense E.C.'s Ricardo Lucas got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute of the match Kaká Fenomeno sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Orlando Dante skillfully saved the ball. In the 8th minute, Tostão Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pragmáticos 1903's Ismael de Queiroz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Pragmáticos 1903 from getting a goal against them. 18 minutes into the match, Montesclarense E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Giovani Sanches came free, but Orlando Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Dante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Sanches in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Montesclarense E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Leite came free, but Orlando Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, Montesclarense E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrão Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Orlando Dante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdir Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovani Sanches in the 53rd minute of play forced Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Orlando Dante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorian Lopez's late challenge caught a Pragmáticos 1903's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dorian Lopez helped the player get up and apologised. Orlando Dante was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Yuri Leite capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. After 87 played minutes Montesclarense E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Adrianinho Freitas. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdir Vieira during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Orlando Dante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yuri Leite in the 96th minute.
