The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pecém's Laércio Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeca Siqueira in the 3rd minute of play. Pedro Rangel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdir Tavares in the 4th minute of the match. Arnaldo Mendonça's late challenge caught a Clube Audax Metropolitano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnaldo Mendonça helped the player get up and apologised. Arnaldo Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armandinho Abreu in the 8th minute of play forced Pecém's goalkeeper Laércio Eger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10thth minute of the game Valdir Tavares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clube Audax Metropolitano's Pedro Rangel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Laércio Eger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Calderona in the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute Clube Audax Metropolitano were awarded a corner. Wiliam Martins went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 16th minute, Igor Paraense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laércio Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armandinho Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laércio Eger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armandinho Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Pedro Rangel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdir Tavares in the 27th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Hugo Calderona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Laércio Eger. Pecém's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugo Calderona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Wiliam Martins got a free kick in the 45th minute. Laércio Eger came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Audax Metropolitano's Armandinho Abreu. But to his dismay, Armandinho Abreu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2.

The wind increased when Valdir Tavares made the kick off in the second half. Laércio Eger made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Armandinho Abreu sent off a good shot on target. Laércio Eger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Igor Paraense went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Laércio Eger made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Armandinho Abreu sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor Paraense got free with Laércio Eger in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 83rd match minute, Clube Audax Metropolitano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Paraense to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Calderona in the 85th minute of play forced Pecém's goalkeeper Laércio Eger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wiliam Martins got his second yellow card in the match during the 88th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 90 minutes into the match, Clube Audax Metropolitano's goal looked a bit too open when Valdir Tavares came free, but Pedro Rangel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute Hugo Calderona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laércio Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Zeca Siqueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Clube Audax Metropolitano left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pecém.
