Gurdurão's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmo Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmo Santos in the 10th minute of play forced Pirajiba's goalkeeper Basílio Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Douglas de Amaral scored 1-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basílio Cosme, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Dalmo Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basílio Cosme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Basílio Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmo Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson de Queiroz in the 28th minute of play forced Gurdurão's goalkeeper Natã Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Natã Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelson de Queiroz in the 31st minute of the match. Natã Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
In the 50th match minute, Gurdurão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas de Amaral to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jairo Santana got free with Natã Massa in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 53rd minute, Douglas de Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Basílio Cosme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalmo Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardinho Aparecido's late challenge caught a Gurdurão's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardinho Aparecido helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Pirajiba getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Bernardinho Aparecido hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Dalmo Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gurdurão's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalmo Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basílio Cosme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 78 played minutes Pirajiba got a freekick which was hit by Natanael Couto. Basílio Cosme came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Gurdurão's Dalmo Santos. But to his dismay, Dalmo Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After a defensive mix-up in Pirajiba's zone, Dalmo Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basílio Cosme came out of the goal and Dalmo Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Douglas de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gurdurão fully deserved thier win.
