Jonas Pombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Couto in the 10th minute of play. Roceira SC's Carlos Eduardo Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Fantini in the 14th minute of play. When Noel Proença came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Fabiofs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Proença couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Fabiofs's Jonas Pombal got control of the ball when Gonçalo Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute Dadá Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Proença in the 30th minute of play forced Roceira SC's goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st match minute, Fabiofs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edílson de Souza to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd match minute, Roceira SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Váldson Custódio to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Váldson Custódio in the 35th minute of play forced Fabiofs's goalkeeper Jonas Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Fabiofs getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Noel Proença hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Kléber Guimarães made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Noel Proença dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Carlos Eduardo Chaves, 1-1. With a little luck, Roceira SC's Carlos Eduardo Chaves got control of the ball when Noel Proença tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 91st minute, Váldson Custódio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
