After 21 played minutes Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius Porto. With his leg Jeremias de Azevedo managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Mundial EC's Li Li fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 40 minutes into the match, Baltazar Freire had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Germano Moraes. Mundial EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baltazar Freire was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 44th match minute, Mundial EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Luís Lima to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, Mundial EC's goal looked a bit too open when Hílton Tande came free, but Germano Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hílton Tande to make the kick off.
