The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 11thth minute of the game Romário Gol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marquês de Herval's Evandro Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Evandro Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romário Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute of the match Lupere FC - DMZ got a corner. Marquês de Herval's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dino Paiva ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Osvaldo Moreno almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Marquês de Herval's Evandro Lara did a great save. Emanuel Prata kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Marquês de Herval's Zé Pedro de Amaral got a free kick in the 28th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romário Gol in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evandro Lara saved Marquês de Herval from getting behind. After 33 played minutes Marquês de Herval got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Mesquita. After a defensive mix-up in Marquês de Herval's zone, Dino Paiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evandro Lara came out of the goal and Dino Paiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marquês de Herval's Evandro Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Gol in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute Manfredo Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelino Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Romário Gol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emanuel Prata kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Romário Gol made a kick off. Emanuel Prata made in the 54th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Luís Fabiano Clemente immediately put the ball in play. Emanuel Prata hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Evandro Lara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Evandro Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romário Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Romário Gol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 67 minutes Marquês de Herval's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dino Paiva who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Lupere FC - DMZ's Dino Paiva to fire away a dangerous shot which Evandro Lara despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Lupere FC - DMZ's Per De Pau got a free kick in the 69th minute. When Marquês de Herval's Manfredo Domingues in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But to his dismay, Romário Gol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lupere FC - DMZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Marquês de Herval had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
