In the 21st minute of the match, Leonardo Trancoso tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Agustin Cejas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hugo Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Trancoso in the 26th minute of play forced Estrela Solitária's goalkeeper Agustin Cejas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedrinho Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Almeida in the 28th minute of the match. Castanheiro SC's Pedrinho Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Almeida in the 76th minute of play. After 77 minutes Castanheiro SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hugo Almeida who took care of the corner kick. In the 90th minute, Hugo Almeida made a precise shot to the right of Pedrinho Guimarães. Castanheiro SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Walmyr Mendes's late challenge caught a Castanheiro SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
