Adalberto Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Douglas Pena came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Gwidon Cwojdak. But to his dismay, Gwidon Cwojdak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ulisses Mineiro's late challenge caught a Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulisses Mineiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th match minute, Bastioes EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulisses Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, 余永川 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but 余永川 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Pena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th match minute, Bastioes EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agostinho Reis to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwidon Cwojdak in the 21st minute of play forced Bastioes EC's goalkeeper Douglas Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Bastioes EC's goal looked a bit too open when Gwidon Cwojdak came free, but Douglas Pena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Isidro Ferman quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Agostinho Reis, made in the 33rd minute of the game. Valeriu Toacsen kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Arthur Bufi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Cruzeiro Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube booed when Bastioes EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luís Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Luís Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Luís Gomes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristi Saron hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After 64 played minutes Bastioes EC got a freekick which was hit by Agostinho Reis. The supporters of Bastioes EC booed when Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique de Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arthur Bufi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agostinho Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agostinho Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 75th minute of the match Cruzeiro Esporte Clube got a corner. Bastioes EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ye Hong Shi ran over to the corner to take the kick. After having played for 79 minutes, Pedro Luís Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bastioes EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Luís Gomes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agostinho Reis charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agostinho Reis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Agostinho Reis hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Armandinho Pirani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bastioes EC's Douglas Pena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Bastioes EC from getting a goal against them. After 86 played minutes Bastioes EC got a freekick which was hit by Adalberto Félix. 92 minutes into the match, Gwidon Cwojdak notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Bastioes EC's Douglas Pena. Douglas Pena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pedro Luís Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Arthur Bufi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Douglas Pena made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when 余永川 sent off a good shot on target. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
