The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes of play, Bastioes EC's Pedro Luís Gomes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nilson do Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 9th minute, Bandelocos's Tiago Moraes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Tiago Moraes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Bandelocos protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tiago Moraes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 12th match minute, Bandelocos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natã dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Luís Gomes succeeded in the game's 19th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. Adalberto Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Nilson do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilson do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalberto Félix in the 26th minute of play. When Luiz Guilherme Varela came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Bandelocos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Guilherme Varela couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Luiz Guilherme Varela's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douglas Pena was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Douglas Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme Varela in the 37th minute of the match. Luiz Guilherme Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Pena having to interfere. After the first half Bastioes EC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Guilherme Varela stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Bastioes EC's Adalberto Félix slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nilson do Vale. That made the score 0-4 after 50 minutes of play. Bastioes EC's Douglas Pena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Brasil in the 53rd minute of play. Bandelocos were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Bastioes EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luís Gustavo Urbano took the corner. Rei Dos Reis thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Douglas Pena, a very annoying self made goal in the 58th minute which led to 1-4. Claudinei Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Diego Duarte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Luiz Guilherme Varela's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douglas Pena was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Adalberto Félix could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Nilson do Vale made a huge save. 71 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's goalkeeper Nilson do Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adalberto Félix. If Luiz Guilherme Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nilson do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luís Gomes in the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Guilherme Varela in the 81st minute of play forced Bastioes EC's goalkeeper Douglas Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Luiz Guilherme Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bandelocos's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Guilherme Varela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Pena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Luís Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Nilson do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bastioes EC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Bandelocos's much stronger midfield.
