The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arlindo Luz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paşa Nada having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arlindo Luz in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paşa Nada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paşa Nada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josué Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute Valdemar Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paşa Nada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Operário Futebol Clube's Paşa Nada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Favoretto in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Favoretto in the 14th minute of play forced Operário Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Paşa Nada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jailson Luz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pan Nan Yuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pan Nan Yuan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Operário Futebol Clube's Evaristo Viana got a free kick in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álvaro Travassos in the 78th minute of play forced Operário Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Paşa Nada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 80 minutes into the game, when Zé Peres put in a rough tackle. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Grêmio Prudente! The referee gave Operário Futebol Clube a penalty, 82 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Aybek Lami, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Grêmio Prudente's Jailson Luz. 2-1. In the 90th minute, Mané Veiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jailson Luz was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Grêmio Prudente's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
