A collision led to Sipo EC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Noel Velloso hit a great ball. The supporters of Sipo EC booed when Inter Gala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráusio Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sipo EC's Oséias Gerber in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Inter Gala's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oséias Gerber in the 12th minute of play forced Inter Gala's goalkeeper Naldo Félix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Oséias Gerber had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Naldo Félix. Inter Gala's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oséias Gerber was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Naldo Félix came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sipo EC's Rodolfo Porto. But to his dismay, Rodolfo Porto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Naldo Félix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oséias Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. A collision led to Inter Gala getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Dráusio Batista hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dráusio Batista during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sipo EC booed when Inter Gala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráusio Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Noel Velloso came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Sipo EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Velloso couldn't finish the play. Artur Saraiva kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. If Albert Hidegkúti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Sipo EC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, Sipo EC's Silvano Mohamed got a free kick in the 54th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, Naldo Félix successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The attack was good, but when Oséias Gerber in the 56th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Naldo Félix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oséias Gerber in the 60th minute of the match. Reinaldo Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Carroll Hathaway tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute of the match, Oséias Gerber tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Naldo Félix saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Albert Hidegkúti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inter Gala's José Augusto Medeiros was substituted for Sílvio Luís da Silveira. In the 70th minute of the match, Rodolfo Porto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Naldo Félix was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 71st minute, Noel Velloso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78thth minute of the game Oséias Gerber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inter Gala's Naldo Félix was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rodolfo Porto's late challenge caught a Inter Gala's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodolfo Porto helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sipo EC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Rodolfo Porto hit a great ball. Noel Velloso took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Naldo Félix. Naldo Félix dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 90th play minute Albert Hidegkúti came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Naldo Félix. 0-4. When the match was over Sipo EC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Inter Gala throughout the match.
