The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sílvio Hermes had great luck who in the 6thth minute grab hold of the ball when Horácio Aguiar from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Durvalino Albuquerque made a great header on October 04's corner, it was just that LOBO 1908's Sílvio Hermes managed to reach the ball for a save. Davi Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gláuber Arósio in the 12th minute of play. Sílvio Hermes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horácio Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. When October 04's Horácio Aguiar, in the 14th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for October 04. In the 17th match minute, LOBO 1908 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glauco Arantes to maneuver through the defense. Tales Abraão made in the 18th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by October 04's Durvalino Albuquerque. A collision led to October 04 getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Mário Pena hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glauco Arantes in the 25th minute of play forced October 04's goalkeeper Davi Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Glauco Arantes hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 27 played minutes, October 04's Fabinho Falcão shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sílvio Hermes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in October 04 reached it. In the 29th minute Gláuber Arósio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davi Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilian Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Sílvio Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sílvio Hermes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horácio Aguiar went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horácio Aguiar in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sílvio Hermes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 55 played minutes LOBO 1908 got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Arósio. LOBO 1908's Gláuber Arósio came free and shot a quick shot against goal 65 minutes in the game, fortunately Davi Couto had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 68th minute of the match LOBO 1908 got a corner. October 04's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Glauco Arantes ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Glauco Arantes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Davi Couto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sílvio Hermes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Aguiar in the 69th minute of play. A collision led to October 04 getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Anderson Machado hit a great ball. The supporters of LOBO 1908 booed when October 04 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waldemar de Sena made in the 79th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by LOBO 1908's Amadeu Matos. A sloppy throw-in by Waldemar de Sena in the 80th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by LOBO 1908's Amadeu Matos. Sílvio Hermes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Aguiar in the 81st minute of play. Adrianinho Goiano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Davi Couto having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Adrianinho Goiano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Davi Couto was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in October 04's zone, Glauco Arantes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Davi Couto came out of the goal and Glauco Arantes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 95 minutes into the match, LOBO 1908's goal looked a bit too open when Horácio Aguiar came free, but Sílvio Hermes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the LOBO 1908 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for October 04.
