The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Kaká Mota came free, but Edinho Pirani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Vila Mascote FC's William Rosa got control of the ball when Katarínus Orange tried to sneak it across the goal line. Perivaldo Penha in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of William Rosa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Vila Mascote FC's William Rosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Vila Mascote FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Rubens Cerezo hit a great ball. Edinho Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Sarmento in the 15th minute of play. In the 20th minute Kaká Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Pirani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Jean Sarmento made a precise shot to the right of Edinho Pirani. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. With a little luck, Vila Mascote FC's William Rosa got control of the ball when Katarínus Orange tried to sneak it across the goal line. Délio Peixoto struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Edinho Pirani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vila Mascote FC. 37 minutes into the match, Vila Mascote FC's goalkeeper William Rosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vitório Campidelis. In the 40th minute Kaká Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Pirani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vila Mascote FC's William Rosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Vila Mascote FC from getting a goal against them. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Katarínus Orange got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Katarínus Orange was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Vila Mascote FC's goalkeeper William Rosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 52nd minute Rubens Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Rosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. William Rosa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rubens Cerezo went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. If Vitório Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 63 played minutes Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Osmar Vander. Hudson de Godoi charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hudson de Godoi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Vila Mascote FC booed when Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hudson de Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Edinho Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaká Mota in the 65th minute of play. William Rosa came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Perivaldo Penha. But to his dismay, Perivaldo Penha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 74th minute, one of Vila Mascote FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vila Mascote FC. The referee gave Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Katarínus Orange, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Vila Mascote FC's William Rosa. 4-1. The audience was convinced that Katarínus Orange's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but William Rosa was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Zhang Zheng Liang hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Perivaldo Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. William Rosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edinho Pirani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Sarmento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute Perivaldo Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Rosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Katarínus Orange hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
