Thiago Paraibano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Luis Blasi did an outstanding performance 47 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-2 to the right of an irritated Thiago Paraibano in the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Fabiano Leão made a kick off. Gualter Gulak scored 3-2 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angelo Peruzzi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 58th minute, one of Borussia Dortmund MZB:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Borussia Dortmund MZB. In the 61stth minute of the game Nicolás Castillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borussia Dortmund MZB's Angelo Peruzzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Jataiense Futebol Clube's Nicolás Castillo in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Borussia Dortmund MZB's Angelo Peruzzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Golaki Goiano in the 83rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Borussia Dortmund MZB's zone, Gualter Gulak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Peruzzi came out of the goal and Gualter Gulak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nino Maldini hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Angelo Peruzzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Golaki Goiano in the 94th minute of play. Golaki Goiano might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelo Peruzzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Golaki Goiano ran back to his position shaking his head. Angelo Peruzzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Golaki Goiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Jataiense Futebol Clube's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
