Prospero Calvino came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Ciclista FC's Dario Benedetto. But to his dismay, Dario Benedetto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zeledon Locaio in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Crişan Taffarel saved Ciclista FC from getting behind. Prospero Calvino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Hug in the 14th minute of play. Juan Perpinya blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Crişan Taffarel having to make a save. Prospero Calvino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Hug, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. A collision led to Ciclista FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ronaldo-Luís De La Rosa-Mora hit a great ball. Crişan Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Locaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Prospero Calvino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rigoberto Flores in the 25th minute of play. Crişan Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Navarro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Benedetto in the 30th minute of play forced Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Prospero Calvino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Hug came free, but Prospero Calvino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafaela FC's Prospero Calvino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Benedetto in the 32nd minute of play. Prospero Calvino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Benedetto in the 35th minute of the match. After 38 played minutes Rafaela FC got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Lon. The Rafaela FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Prospero Calvino should have stopped the shot.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zeledon Locaio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Hug in the 53rd minute of play forced Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Prospero Calvino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amador Francesco made a great header on Ciclista FC's corner, it was just that Rafaela FC's Prospero Calvino managed to reach the ball for a save. With a little luck, Rafaela FC's Prospero Calvino got control of the ball when Dario Benedetto tried to sneak it across the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Prospero Calvino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rigoberto Flores. After 77 minutes of play, Ciclista FC's Rigoberto Flores made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Prospero Calvino was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Rigoberto Flores got free with Prospero Calvino in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rafaela FC's Prospero Calvino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Flores in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Prospero Calvino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dario Benedetto. Gustavo Amato's late challenge caught a Ciclista FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustavo Amato helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd match minute, Rafaela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Amato to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute Manuel Hug shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Calvino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prospero Calvino made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Dario Benedetto sent off a good shot on target. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ciclista FC reached it. After having played for 94 minutes, Edgard Lon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rafaela FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Lon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Ciclista FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
