The referee ignored Cieneguita PQ's protests and gave Romulo Madaleno a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, Cieneguita PQ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romulo Madaleno to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Higinio Urti in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celestino Cresconio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Cieneguita PQ getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Romulo Madaleno hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Americo Iratze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gavino Olo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pastor Pirmin in the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of Cieneguita PQ booed when Margarita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilo Lain didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Cieneguita PQ's Jonatan Presebal got a free kick in the 19th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cieneguita PQ's zone, Jaime Iratzeder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celestino Cresconio came out of the goal and Jaime Iratzeder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Celestino Cresconio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Urti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Pastor Pirmin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Margarita's Joaquin Cordarrel got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 39th minute, Joaquin Cordarrel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

57 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Margarita's Higinio Urti fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 62 minutes into the match, Margarita's goal looked a bit too open when Florentino Sayveon came free, but Gavino Olo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Cieneguita PQ's Celestino Cresconio got control of the ball when Jaime Iratzeder tried to sneak it across the goal line. Margarita's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
