Leopoldo Enaut was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 3rd minute. Cordoba FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Sixto Gurutz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Colon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Amadeo Elodio hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Gau in the 14th minute of play forced Cordoba FC's goalkeeper Rafael Colon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Colon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sixto Gurutz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Colon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Ihintza, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After some careless play in the Cordoba FC defense, Cristo Gau kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafael Colon. The Cordoba FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafael Colon should have stopped the shot. Rafael Colon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristo Gau went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Sixto Gurutz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guns And Roses's supporters rose to their feet, but Sixto Gurutz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Colon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st match minute, Guns And Roses was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Gau to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Sabin in the 32nd minute of play forced Guns And Roses's goalkeeper Sergio Goycochea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Guns And Roses's Sergio Goycochea got control of the ball when Jeremias Cordaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cordoba FC's Jeremias Cordaro got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cordoba FC's Rafael Colon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sixto Gurutz in the 44th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeremias Cordaro got free with Sergio Goycochea in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Guns And Roses were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Sixto Gurutz made the kick off in the second half. Guns And Roses's Sergio Goycochea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Cordaro in the 51st minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Cordoba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristo Gau came free, but Rafael Colon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Guns And Roses's Enrique Bidun got a free kick in the 54th minute. Prudencio Ferrando struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Sergio Goycochea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cordoba FC. In the 57th match minute, Cordoba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candido Tajo to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute, Nereo Patrido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sixto Gurutz missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 59 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Rafael Colon right hand side. In the 66th minute of the match, Cristo Gau got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rafael Colon was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cordoba FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sixto Gurutz was slow to take the kick. During this time Guns And Roses's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Anastasio Quiroga almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cordoba FC's Rafael Colon did a great save. Enrique Bidun kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Cordoba FC's Rafael Colon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Cordoba FC from getting a goal against them. In the 75th minute Santiago Ihintza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Colon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristo Gau kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rafael Colon. That made the score 0-5 in the 86 minute of play. In the 91st minute, Candido Tajo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristo Gau scored 0-7 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rafael Colon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Guns And Roses had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
